Welcome to the Nashville Chapter of AITP

News and Events

RFID Technology

Radio frequency identification (RFID) is changing the way businesses operate. The most common RFIDs are passive tags – basically tiny microchip-based targets. When their antennae are hit with an incoming signal, they transmit a response. Wal-Mart and the Department of Defense have forced many suppliers to go to RFID. Wal-Mart has projected millions of dollars inventory savings by using RFID based systems.

Our speaker is Paul Reed, President of Business Resources Solutions (BRS), who is a pioneer in the bar code and RFID field. Paul will be assisted in the presentation by Hugh Kirkpatrick who is Business Development Manager at BRS.

They will offer strategic insight oh how your business or industry will be impacted by bar coding, RFID, wireless, and other digital technologies in the coming years.
