An application to join the AITP
does not constitute membership.
Professional Members
Individuals who are or have been employed in the management of
information resources including, but not limited to, managers, staff,
sales, service providers, and educators shall be eligible to become
Professional Members of the association.
Student Members
Individual students whose degree major is consistent with their desire
to enter the information processing field shall be eligible to become
Student Members of the association.
Interim Members
Former student members who have all the rights and privileges of a
Professional Member at a reduced dues rate for three years.
All applicants are required to
support the mission and vision of the AITP and uphold the association's
bylaws and code of ethics.
All applicants certify that they
are applying to the appropriate membership category and understand that
their dues are nonrefundable and will be prorated to apply to AITP's
billing cycle.
Dues paid to the AITP are not
tax deductible as charitable contributions. However, may be tax
deductible as ordinary and necessary business expense under provisions
of the Internal Revenue Service Code.
